Tim Piganelli selected to speak at LegalTech NY '05

Tim has been given the honor of presenting “Visual Impact: Making Your Case Evidence Shine With Legal Technology”. This unique ‘how to' session will shine the light on how you can leverage technology in trial to develop a visual impact that can make all the difference in presenting your case evidence in the best light possible.

LegalTech has become a tradition in New York City. For almost a quarter of a century late in January legal professionals from around the world pack warm clothing, a sense of humor and head to the “Big Apple” for the American Lawyer Media premier event, LegalTech! LegalTech boasts three jam packed days of education and exhibits all happening in exciting midtown Manhattan !

As the premier conference in the legal industry, LegalTech presents cutting-edge technology by offering hardware, software, tools, and services. LegalTech offers attendees the opportunity to participate in educational CLE certified classes as well as the opportunity to interact with exhibitors and attend numerous networking functions.

This years opening day Keynote will be presented by Judge Ronald J. Hedges, United States Magistrate Judge, District of New Jersey. Judge Hedges will discuss the proposed amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure that address electronic discovery. He will focus on electronic discovery in the context of the existing rules, particularly Rules 26(b)(1) and (2), and whether the proposed amendments represent an "improvement" over the existing rules.

After the Keynote attendees are given time to explore the exhibit hall. Exhibit hall visitors are in awe at the vast amount of vendors occupying three full floors at the spacious Hilton Hotel in NYC. Last year one lucky visitor drove home with a brand new “Chrysler Crossfire”. Others went home with iPods, beanie-babies, thumb drives, goo-goo pies and lots of new business associates.

This years educational tracks include Law Department, Emerging Technology, eDiscovery, Case & Practice Management, Knowledge Management, Managing Technology, Advanced CIO, Marketing with Technology, Collaboration Technologies, LegalTech University, In-house Counsel, Document Management, Business Continuity & Data Backup, Security and Malpractice & Ethics. Classes run 90 minutes.

Next months LTC newsletter will focus on the events of LegalTech , NY including new products and services to the market. In the meantime we hope to see you at LegalTech and don't forget your comfy shoes!
